Safety instructions:
- Do not shine the D5+ in eyes.
- Avoid placing the D5+ under direct sunlight.
- Do not submerge the D5+ underwater.
- Remove the battery if the D5+ is expected to be out of service for extended periods of time.
Operating instructions:
- Press the button located at the base of the D5+ to turn the D5+ on/off.
- Genuine banknotes and some official items incorporate invisible UV marks that only become visible when exposed to ultraviolet light.
- The UV marks displayed depend on the item. The UV mark locations for GBP, EURO and USD are shown below. Central banks and manufactures provide guidelines on what to look for.
- Banknotes and official items often have UV marks on both sides.
Ultraviolet Detection
Recharging the battery:
Unscrew the metal cap located at the base of the D5+. Remove the battery and insert it into the charger. The charger will illuminate a red light to indicate charging is in progress. A green light indicates the battery is fully charged. Reinsert the battery then close and tighten the metal cap.
